Her Real Life FairyTale

From the very beginning, this bride and I were a match made in Heaven. She loved having her picture taken....
and I obviously love taking pictures! I was truly blessed to have been a part of such a beautiful wedding and walk with this lovely couple through their journey along the way.

From their engagements:

To her stunning Bridal Portrait:

To the day of her wedding:

The day of her wedding was beautiful. As we walked down to her groom for first look pictures, his back turned to her, she looked at me and said "Why isn't his tux grey?...That's not his tux..." All I could say was, "well he looks great, right?? It will be fine and everything will work out." I started to realize that this was TRULY her first look of her groom, not ever seeing this tux before! As easy going & relaxed as she is, all she said was "Did we forget to pick up his tux??" Then all we could is laugh. Her poor groom had to borrow a tux from someone else, and wear shoes two sizes too small!

So, the wedding started with a "hitch," and ended in her real life fairytale.

CONGRATULATIONS, Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert!!!

Lights, Camera, Action...

SAY CHEESE!!! Photography isn't just about taking pictures. It's about finding something intriguing in a subject; whether that subject is a child or grandparent, a park downtown, or even a plate of food. Creative Photographers can find something in absolutely nothing. THE CATCH!!! A photographer's job is to capture a moment in their subject that 1) you can't get back 2) expresses what the subject is or feels and 3) entices someone to want to know more about the subject. HOW TO!!! Simply put- Paint with light, know your equipment, & be creative. Some photographers have gone to school for this art, while others are self-taught. Do I think one is better than the other??...NO. It all comes down to this----> Passion, Creativity, & Desire. EMBRACE THE ART!!! Jen B. Photography embraced the art of photography. Anywhere from Wedding to Business Advertisement. Contact me for your next photo need.

Desired Portraits- Overview of the Possibilities

There are many different types of portraits that can be taken by Jen B. Photography. My desire is to capture all important memories, passions, personalities in a photograph. Although my last blog was written aiming to boost Boudoir Photography (as it is increasingly popular), Family Portraits still take the lead on most photographed. However, it appears to have evolved more into outdoor on location shoots, than the old "studio look."

My most recent family photo shoot was located in a park nearby in Lexington. To capture an unconditional love between a mother and son, is priceless. And here's what I got:

Beautiful moment between a mother and son. Each photo shoot that I do, as a photographer, my goal is to capture the priceless moments. Whether it be in Family Portraits, Boudoir Photography, Newborn Sessions, or Wedding Photography- you will receive these priceless and precious moments.

One of my most recent baby portraits was of a 6month old, who was too precious for words. Babies are always beautiful.... especially when they are still figuring out their facial expressions:

Such beauty in all portraits.

Just wanted to give a little overview of the possibilities with Jen B. Photography.

Boudoir Photography- All the Rage!

Even Cosmopolitan is Tweeting about the hottest new trend of Boudoir Photography! Although alluring photographs of women for wedding and anniversary gifts have become increasingly popular, Cosmopolitan has found that women who have posed in lingerie are doing these Boudoir photo shoots for themselves.

Some women have admitted to doing Boudoir photographs for the simple fact of capturing a great moment in their life, a reward for a personal or career goal accomplished, or the feeling of empowerment. Others have a more personal reason or desire for showing strength, and emotional or physical healing.

Whatever YOUR reasoning, contact Jen B. Photography for your Boudoir Photoshoot. I capture your true beauty and strength in each photograph.

Just Getting Started

Welcome to my new addiction. Photography.

I'm happy to say that I'm finally starting a new path in something I've always had a passion for and I'm exited to be able to share it with you.

Photography has always been somewhat of an outlet for my creative personality. Angles, subject matters, coloration, digital editing....all bits and pieces that join together to create a portrait. A picture of something or someone that shows not only the obvious, but the subtles in all aspects.

Needless to say, I'm just getting started- and I'm here to stay. Welcome to Jen B. Photography.
